  A holiday dining event at the Community Hall for all, locals, visitors and families sponsored by the Downieville Lion’s Club, the United Methodist and Assembly of God churches.

  
  

  All donations and contributions benefit the Western Sierra Food Bank. 

  
  

  Dinner served from 1-4pm.

  
  

  Donations of turkeys, hams, desserts and money are needed and can be given or ordered at Downieville Grocery and the Sierra City Country Store.

  
  

  Volunteers are needed to help set up, cook turkeys, desserts and all the trimmings, and serve on Thanksgiving Day.

  THE social event of the year in Sierra County. Come join the best chefs of the Sierra Nevada in a hot chili cook off at the Yuba Pass on Highway 49.
  
  It's chef against chef and west against east.
  
  Come early. Judging starts noonish. Beware, judges have been known to accept signs of gratitude and kindness.
  
  Just show up with your chili!  No Rules!  Judges can be bribed :-)
  

  Weather is no object!  Nothing stops chili.
  

  Cooks are there early - come and smell the aroma.
